The difference between the Canon EOS 650D, 600D and 60D

This article is going to explain to you (or even make you more confused) the difference between the Canon EOS 650D, 600D and 60D. At this writing, the EOS 650D is Canon's latest camera fills the beginner class but its already too advanced for beginners. While the EOS 600D is a previous generation camera (made in 2011), which is currently being sold because sales sold in the range of 6 million. On the other hand there are 'super Rebel' EOS 60D (made in 2010), middle-class camera that costs 'only' 7 million but its already complete including the ability to capture up to 1/8000 sec. All three have in common is easily recognizable: LCD screen that can be folded and rotated.

Canon EOS 650D (Rebel T4i)

The camera was recently announced to be the first Canon DSLR camera:

using the touch screen
using hybrid AF CMOS sensor (phase detect and contrast detect)
use the Digic 5 processor

so short a word EOS 650D DSLR camera is the first Canon auto focus enhanced capabilities for live view and video, especially keeping moving objects stay in focus properly. Latest fifth generation DIGIC processor makes 650D can reach ISO 12,800 and take up to 5 pictures per second.

650D vs 600D

Judging from the physical surface, both practically identical twins. The most significant improvement from 600D to 650D is in the source, such as wearing a 9 point AF module that all its points manifold cross type (the 600D is only one cross type). That is, the 650D is steady in the affairs of auto focus, whether it is to take pictures or video. Not to mention the lens STM (stepper motor) recently introduced may be more pronounced prowess when installed in the 650D, because of the hybrid AF CMOS sensor that. The combination of 650D and STM lens for video recording moving objects can remain focused, while the focus motor noise does not come on video.

Why did this all in the Canon 650D? The answer is because the pressure of the mirrorless cameras are more user friendly, small in size and easier to video or live-view. We know the 600D is a camera that is very complete beginner features, but have not been able to do continuous autofocus while recording video. So natural that Canon perfecting the video side, including giving stereo mic on top.

Encountered significant increase is the increase in the maximum ISO speed and burst, which in the 600D is only able to achieve ISO 6400 and 3.7 fps. But between the 650D and 600D are both wearing the sensor with the same pixel resolution which is 18 MP.

650D vs 60D

The difference in class between the two makes this comparison less fair. However the 60D is a two-digit camera designed for those who are more serious about photography. So it may not beat the 60D 650D dalah things:

prism (pentaprism 60D using a lighter)
button and dial the rear wheels (which are often required by the photographer to quickly change settings)
additional small LCD screen at the top
maximum shutter speed of 1/8000 sec (maximum 650D 1/4000 sec)
ergonomics and grip size
But in some ways like the 60D 650D can match in terms of AF module (9 cross type points), metering module, 5 fps burst and the ability to control an external flash wirelessly. Resolution of both is the same sensor that is 18 MP. Even 650D 60D outperformed in some aspects like the maximum ISO, HDR features and of course the ability of continuous autofocus while recording video.

Conclusion

Currently almost 650D will be available in stores, the price would still be high (8 million). Select the 650D if you are looking for the best DSLR camera from Canon, or if you are happy to record dynamic objects both photos and videos, or happy with the style of touch screen smart phones.

Right now, prices are stable and 600D full feature photography for beginners. Suitable if your funds are limited, do not need all the stuff on the 650D and rarely photographing moving objects. Or even you are still able to buy the 550D when it did not need folding screen in 600D.

EOS 60D is on the verge of the end of the era of glory, because it was nearing the two-year cycle of regeneration. Choose 60D if you are more serious about photography, but do not want to pay more to buy the 7D. Complete access keys, dial in the rear wheels and high speed can be a picture of a camera is intended for anyone. The price is even cheaper than the introductory price 650D.
